    Chaeto for the Reef

chaeto with pod

A cautionary example of the introduction of Caulerpa algae in your system.

This infestation started out as a tiny bit of Caulerpa that was trapped in a ball of Chaeto. It was left unchecked for only a few weeks and there was no turning back. What you see in the video is even with weekly manual removal.

This is a losing battle and as a result I have opted to turn it into an aiptasia breeding tank as a food source for my Berghia nudibranchs.
